After some serious consideration, I’ve decided that WordPress is not for me and that I was much happier at TypePad. So I’ve moved back over. Here’s my new place and a new name, in anticipation for my new unique design store that will be making it’s debut in theĀ  future:

Mango Island

I realize WordPress is free compared to TypePad. The reasons of why I would much rather pay for a blogging platform were growing everyday. I guess the bottom line is I felt like I didn’t have much design control with WordPress.

So head over there and bookmark me! And thanks for following me, the family and my designs.

Peace.

What am I working on this weekend? Let’s just say it involves these flowers. Check back in a few days to see what I came up with.

Today, Unscripted Sketches unveiled our first sketch. Head over there to check out the rest of the team’s stuff and then get started on yours! Post a comment on the Unscripted Sketches blog with a link to your creation.

Here’s my take on the sketch.

I wanted to use a picture I took of the cherry blossom trees around my neighborhood as my background. I love cherry blossom trees. Love the colors, flowers but it’s a tree! Amazing. So get started on your creation and let’s see what you come up with.

Peace.

I can’t believe my sweet baby Joey is 3 years old today. It was only yesterday that we were rushing to the hospital. Joe broke his glasses on the way and had to wear his shades the whole time.

Now, Joey is “being 3″ at the blink of our eyes. At 3 you can:

  • You can talk up a storm.
  • Almost got potty training down.
  • Loves to spin.
  • Can play trains all day if you wanted to.
  • Loves water as much as trains.
  • Can watch Cars and Wall-E a million times.
  • Still love your “soft new yellow kiki” from when you were born.
  • Likes doing things yourself cause you’re a big boy.
  • Still loves kisses from mom.

Happy birthday my sweet boy. You bring so much joy to everyone. Mama loves you.

XOXO

In a slump? Need a good challenge? Head over to Unscripted Sketches for our Sketch it Saturdays challenge. Yup, that’s right. I’m on their design team. Woohoo! We’ll be unveiling the first sketch this Saturday. You gotta check it out! Look for a new page in the upper right hand corner with my take on the weekly sketches. This will definitely keep me challenged!

Thanks to my very knowledgable web designer co-worker, my header is now fixed. It pays to know people. If there’s one thing I learned in my years of working in the corporate world is that you need to be friends with the help desk people and (now) the web designer people. You never know when you’ll need their assistance one day. And if you’re like Jenny you’d be married to one.

Peace out.

So as you know I’m in the middle of doing some house keeping on my blog to make it perty. What I have always had in mind was adding a page solely on documenting Joey’s sayings as a way to ensure I have these memories stored (for future scrapbooking pages) and also to share with other family members and friends.

So as you can see I added a new page link (look at the very top top right) called “Inside the mind of a 3 year old”. I’ve already jotted down some cute things Joey said to me last night. That kid is so flippin cute!!!

Going to ask one of the web developers at work to look at the CSS on my blog to see what I did wrong with the header. Looks like I made a mistake when I pasted custom CSS. Guess I should have read the directions first!

Anyways. It’s lunch time for me. Need to decide if I want to go to yoga today or if I should stay and watch a movie on Hulu. Hmm..

Toodles!

Guess who wanted the biggest chocolate covered Strawberry? Yup. Joe-G (that’s how Joey says his name). I told him he would eat it today though. This kid is hilarious I tell you!

Tip: if you want your kids to eat their fruit dip it in some chocolate. Cause everything tastes better dipped on chocolate.

Hmm. I wonder if this works with veggies too?

After sitting on this for two weeks it’s finally finished. Whoop whoop! BTW- I’ve got some house cleaning to do on my blog this week so pardon if things look whacky. Still trying to figure out what happened to my header!
